Festivals in Korea

Return from Festivals in Korea to Life in Korea

Return from Festivals in Korea to Homepage
This page has some travelling ideas with a list of links to Korea's most famous festivals.
For information on festivals, check out the specific websites at least a month or two prior to the start of the activities.  Unfortunately most of the websites to I link to from this page, do not offer information in English, so get a Korean friend to help you.  Or you can try contacting the festival information centre; email usually works better than phoning.

Korea.net has a good collection of festival travel directions and more

Travel Tips

- Always carry tissue or toilet paper with you, most public restrooms won't supply their own

- Keep cash with you at all times.  Many convenience stores and attraction sites won't accept payment via card.

- Cell Phone
Korea Travel Information has the option of speaking with an English operator and will be able to help you with any random assistance you might need.  Their number is 1330 from any phone in Korea.

- Book, Kindle, MP3 player
An absolute requirement for long distance travelling for killing time on busses, trains or aeroplanes.

- Hand sanitizer tissue or liquid
Not all restrooms will provide water and soap.

- Memorize basic Korean phrases
It's also handy to know a few travel phrases, especially when you travel outside the cities where English spoken less and less.
